EMPOWERING the Inner-City with Hope for 30 Years!

For thirty years, Mission Scranton has been cultivating relationships and bringing the church to inner-city communities. A ministry started with just a Pastor's call to take the gospel's message outside the church's walls to a healthy and vibrant weekly ministry. Thirty years later, Mission Scranton is a 501(c)(3) evangelical, nonprofit organization with a staff of three and a volunteer g organizatione front lines connecting, mentoring, and empowering the children, youth, and families in the inner-city communities.

Mission Scranton has left a significant legacy in the community over the last thirty years. The organization has five weekly programs: Elevate, Junior Leadership Program, Teen Night, Hilltop Outreach, and Church Rides; and several seasonal programs like basketball outreach with Clarks Summit University, Vacation Bible School with Steamtown Church, sports camp with Heritage Baptist Church, holiday parties, and more. The programs are designed to provide life-changing opportunities to children, youth, and families.
